The Great Glen Way

Matthew and I decided to head up to Scotland in October 2021 to spend a leisurely 7 days walking the 79 mile / 125 kilometre Great Glen Way. From Fort William, the route follows the Caledonian Canal, Loch Lochy, Loch Oich and Loch Ness to Inverness.

  • Day 1 – Fort William to Gairlochy camp
  • Day 2 – Gairlochy to Laggan Locks camp
  • Day 3 – Laggan Locks to Fort Augustus
  • Day 4 – Fort Augustus to Allt Coinmeag wild Camp
  • Day 5 – Allt Coinmeag to Drumnadrochit
  • Day 6 – Drumnadrochit to Blackfold wild camp
  • Day 7 – Blackfold to Inverness
